Jill attempts to capture in her paintings the inherent space and
isolation of new Zealand's beauty, preserving the personal, and
sometimes divine impressions of the solitude, tranquillity and
magic of the Coromandel experience.
She does not restrict herself to particular subject matter but
paints mostly landscapes and seascapes of the Coromandel Peninsula;
reflecting the views and imagination of the artist who becomes
the consciousness of this enchanted land.
Jill has returned to her native New Zealand after spending thirty
years in California sculpturing, potting, painting and teaching
art. The last three years she has painted
for the Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California. Her
work is found in commercial and private collections throughout
the world. She is presently teaching and selling through her own
Studio/Gallery in Hahei.
