About us

Established in 1992, Cathedral Cove Dive is locally owned and operated and is the longest operating dive business in the area.
Our local under water knowledge of the area is unmatched.

We offer:

  • We are situated right at the Beach, with many of the dive sites only a 10 minute boat ride
  • Single tank diving means you still have time to hit low tide Hot Water Beach, stroll to the Cove or just spend time relaxing with friends & family at lovely Hahei Beach. There is around 1 ½ hours back on shore for lunch, between trips
  • New and top quality Rental Aqualung Scuba gear
  • Optional Reserve or non Reserve diving. We can’t promise anything here but definitely can put you in a spot where your chances may run high for a crayfish dinner!!
  • Well trained friendly staff, small groups with personal service. We welcome individual divers and/or Groups.
  • Health & Safety Policy :

    Wendy Helms (Managing Director) is ultimately responsible for the SMS. Our policies are designed to:

    • Prevent the occurrence of notifiable events to staff, customers and visitors;
    • Provide a healthy and safe workplace, safe equipment and proper materials;
    • Comply with Health and Safety Legislation, the Safety Audit Standard, Industry Training Organisation Standards and Occupational Diving Guidelines and Standards;
    • Continually improve health and safety management;
    • Establish and insist upon safe practices at all times;
    • Empower Staff to have the authority to halt an activity on safety grounds;
    • Take all practicable steps to ensure the health and safety of staff, participants and visitors.

    We will actively practise and pursue safety for employees, clients and subcontractors and the general public who may, from time to time, come into contact with our operation.  We require the timely and accurate reporting of all incidents, accidents, unsafe conditions and near misses.
